Daily Psychiatry Quote

Few can understand what it is like to suffer from clinical or severe depression, unless they have experienced it. It is a condition that affects the whole of the individual from their sleep, their mood, their thoughts, to their ability to enjoy life, and their energy levels. Individuals who are clinically depressed report feeling slowed down, often feeling heavy and tired, as if being pushed down. All that they may want to do is stay in bed. Life feels pointless and they no longer enjoy the usual enjoyable activities such as sports, social activities, travelling and food.
